A high-level delegation from the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR) will be visiting Bangladesh at the invitation of the Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI) from 21-26 July 2010. Bangladesh Enterprise Institute organized a workshop for sharing findings of the strategy paper on Public Information Role of Law-enforcement and Intelligence Agencies in Bangladesh held on Sunday, 18 July 2010 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the BEI Conference Room (House-20, Road-05, Gulshan-1, Dhaka-1212) .

The strategy paper had been developed on the basis of a field-based research. The primary objective of the strategy paper was to address the research and policy gap so that the people could play an effective role in sharing information with the agencies for countering terrorism in Bangladesh.

The Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI) organized a round-table on “Realizing the vision of Digital Bangladesh through e-Government” on July 15, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. – 5:30 P.M. at the BEI conference room (House 20, Road 5, Gulshan 1, Dhaka 1212, Bangladesh). In this roundtable, a report on ‘Realizing the Vision of Digital Bangladesh through e-Government’ was launched.

This round-table was the final part of a BEI-initiated comprehensive study on the current state and opportunities of e-Governance in Bangladesh.
