Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI) organized a lecture on “Russian Foreign Policy in the Twenty- First Century”  on Tuesday, 25 May 2010 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm  at the BEI conference room (House No. 20, Road No. 5, Gulshan. 1, Dhaka-1212, Bangladesh).


Ambassador Mohamed Mijarul Quayes, Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh had kindly consented to be the Chief Guest.


Mr. Mostafa Faruque Mohammed, MP, Former Ambassador to the Russian Federation  kindly chaired the lecture session.


Dr. Andrey V. Vorobev, Deputy Head, Department of the Press and Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Russian Federation delivered the lecture.


Distinguished participants were also  present in the programme.


Short Profile of Dr. Andrey V. Vorobev


Mr. Andrey V. Vorobev was born in 1960. He graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). He did his Ph.D. (History) from the same Institute. Currently, he is Deputy Head of the Press and Information Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. Dr. A. V. Vorobev held diplomatic posts in Poland and Bulgaria. In 1998 – 2001, he was an adviser in the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation. He is one of the editors of the Russian political science journal “Mezhdunarodnaia Zhizn” (“International Affairs”) and an author of some books of poems.
