A BEI-delegation led by the President visited Melbourne from 26-29 November to attend the 5th Asia Pacific Security Dialogue on “Preventing Terrorism through Counter Radicalization in Bangladesh” held at Monash University

THE FIFTH ASIA-PACIFIC SECURITY DIALOGUE – PREVENTING TERRORISM: DERADICALISING AND DISENGAGING CURRENT AND FUTURE VIOLENT MILITANTS IN ASIA, AUSTRALIA, EUROPE AND THE US is being held from Nov 27-29 at Monash University, Australia.
The dialogue is being organized by the National Centre of South Asian Studies, European and EU Centre, Global Terrorism Research Centre and Faculty of IT of Monash University in partnership with the Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (Bangladesh), Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade, Canberra and French Embassy, Canberra.
A delegation led by Ambassador Farooq Sobhan, President of Bangladesh Enterprise Institute and former Foreign Secretary from Bangladesh is joining the dialogue involving academics, practitioners, security experts and government officials.
