Launching Ceremony of the Financial Markets Recovery Project (FMRP) & Training of the Trainers (ToT)

Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI) in association with the Global Corporate Governance Forum (GCGF) of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) and the Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB) organized the  launching ceremony of the Financial Markets Recovery Project (FMRP) on Thursday March 3, 2011 from 6.30 p.m to 8:00 pm at the Spectra Convention Center (Gulshan 1, Dhaka, Bangladesh).

The Chief Guest at this event was Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) A. K. Khandker (Bir Uttom), Honorable Minister, Ministry of Planning, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh and Mr. Ian Crosby, Head, International Finance Corporation,Dr. Farashuddin Ahmed, Former Governor and Economist, Mr. Md. Ziaul Haque Khondker, Chairman, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Dr. Atiur Rahman, Governor, Bangladesh Bank were present as the special guests.

Mr. Farooq Sobhan, President, BEI moderated the launching ceremony.

At the launch the project details were presented, which includes a  Training of Trainers (TOT)  program on the Board Leadership and Governing Banks, being organized from March 4-6, 2011. The delivery of this training of trainers program is based on a unique participatory learning and leadership approach, which was facilitated by two international experts. The Training of the Trainers (TOT) program was held at the BEI Conference Room (Road 50, House 3A, Gulshan 2, Dhaka, Bangladesh)  on March 4, 2011 from 9:00  am – 1:00 pm, March 5, 2011 from 9:00 am – 7:30 pm and March 6, 2011 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
