Report Launch Ceremony on “Attitudes to Water in South Asia” on 13 November 2014, Dhaka

BEI launched a report on “Attitudes to Water in South Asia” on 13 November 2014. The objective of the report was to assess the attitudes to water in South Asia with a particular focus on internal and external challenges of water security in Bangladesh as well as its way forward. The report was the outcome of a project exploring attitudes towards domestic water management and trans-boundary water issues in five South Asian countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Pakistan. Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Water Resources; Professor Ainun Nishat, Professor Emeritus at the Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research, BRAC University; Dr. Gareth Price, Senior Research Fellow at The Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House in London; Dr. Zafar Ahmed Khan, Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources, distinguished discussants and participants took part in the report launch ceremony.
