Dr Joyeeta Bhattacharjee passed away on April 20.
The Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI) family is deeply saddened to learn about the untimely demise of Dr Joyeeta Bhattacharjee.
Joyeeta, who passed away on April 20, was a senior fellow at the Observer Research Foundation, a leading think tank in India.
Between 2009 and 2017, BEI and Joyeeta worked closely together in organizing eight rounds of a track 1.5 Bangladesh-India Dialogue, says a press release.
She was a dear friend of BEI and had many friends and well-wishers in both India and Bangladesh, it said.
“She will always be remembered for her warm, gracious and friendly personality. We, at BEI, will miss Joyeeta dearly and request everyone to pray for her departed soul. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones. May she rest in eternal peace,” according to the release.
Dr Joyeeta Bhattacharjee leaves behind her husband, Subimal Bhattacharjee.
